The Oahu Dance Scene.

The Social Cultural Dancer is coalescing very nicely on this Island. The hits show it in the ever increasing numbers regularly. If we include all the peripherals, we are perhaps 80 - 90 percent of the entire dance group. We are the "to have fun" group. That is our primary purpose. If we leave out the young we mean no offense, we merely respect your kuleana. Same for the "to be seen" categories.

"Happy are those who dream dreams and are ready to pay
the price to make them come true. - Blogging is becoming
an art, same as any other method of self-expression.
Some are better at it than others."

The "to be seen" groups are the competition and exhibition dancers. We don't have much to do with them as they would rather not. And they will perhaps be covered more thoroughly in their own Blog and Web sites. Then there was a new "class" that was developing strongly in the nineties and which is now tapering off. The "viewers," the audience for the new Show Business of "Ballroom." New Divisions such as Cabaret, Acrobatic and Theatre arose. All show business and meant to be seen. By whom? By the "Viewers" of course. So they have established quite a little group which is entirely theirs as long as we all are aware of the differences.

Meanwhile, back at the ranch. We have Central Valley blog that has been bouncing around for awhile and it has racked up quite a number of hits under different names. For now it has held up steady in the upper twenties in average hits per day. Of course there is not much in this sector yet and there is plenty going on in other sectors. I will wait it out. We will eventually find a steady Information Contributor about dancing and perhaps be interested in being a Guest Author. Once that is done, the blog is in.

Then we have the biggest help to all of dancing on these islands, Dance Fever Oahu, We hope they will have a statement to make in here when the time comes. For everybody, exercise your writing muscles, the more your practice the more you improve. Comments should be short, fast, to the point and make an impact. They are excellent exercises for your writing skills. Meanwhile, we have given Dance Fever Oahu, Mini Web Sites in other blogs and the left side bar poster in this blog. Any other blogs interested, we welcome them.

Pub's Side Note: Two fonts walk into a Waikiki dance club. The barman says to them, "Sorry, We don't serve your type here."
