Our Kind Of Dancing

It is back in Japan
By Asuka Shinozaki, Nuuanu Valley

It's dance fever -- Asian style. Young and old are polishing their tangos and waltzes and doing it the old-fashioned way, the old is making a comeback. They have had several decades of International Style of Dance along with their own versions of the different dances. Now they are following the English in England into the American style and find it closer to their own style and a comfortable fusion is occurring. Not surprising as the Americans have been there for sixty six years.

"Many of life's failures are people who did not realize
how close they were to success when they gave up."

The dance has been developing in their culture over the years and like most dances, they are to enjoy the music by moving the body in the same timing and rhythm. The International has developed into a series of poses as an entertainment commodity, nice but quite a different product.

The internationals admit that it is the real Ballroom dancing and an Art. Both for show and for competitions it "must" be seen and judged. And inadvertently a third type of group has been created, the viewers, the spectators.

Don't Stop Believin' ... Journey

Awesome song, deserves to be in number 1. It's not about a hooker, it's about different kinds of people never giving up! People love this song especially when Glee sings it! The message of this song is to chase your dreams and do what you feel you have to and I will do what I want to.

With the dance shows that have developed on Television, they have "intentionally" promoted and evolved a big group of viewers, not much in the dancing department but they want to see the shows and of course judge it with their meager capabilities. This group will not continue to grow.

But now in Japan they are discovering a most welcome invention, the American Style of Dance, now they can go back to dancing for fun only. Amazing!  *  *  *  *

The Hit Analysis for the month of July. Not so good, but the entire blogosphere is in a transition period. It should standardize by the middle August. And we are still seeking the very valuable Guest Author who will help set direction for any of the blogs. Clones we don't need. They must all be different.

Da Blogosphere is doing the worst, however it will be a recap of all the blogs in our blogosphere and any others that would like to get in even if only for the free publicity. Next month should be a little better all around. The key is that one additional Guest Author.

Pub's Side Note: I continue to help wherever I can. And I do have choices. I have some that are easy to help and some that are difficult. Which do I help the most? Guess.
