Update

We are making some contact with potential bloggers for our blogs. Most still think of the "large" commitment and we cannot blame them. Some have had experience in newsletters and know that it can be be quite a commitment. But blogs are not newsletters.

"Out of my mind. Back in five minutes."

It is much like advertising, but it is really a more direct communication to the reader/dancers. And you write only when you damn well please. we just provide the platform. Slightly different way of looking at it and it lends itself easily as Social Media.

"A Lovely Night"  ...  Julie Andrews

Dance teachers, studio owners and dancers can use the blogs to recruit new dancers, ask the community to help with funding for trips or equipment or even to share news on individual dancers and their accomplishments.

You can even blog about local issues that aren’t directly related to dance, including things like law changes and other stories that relate to kids and families. It’s your blog, so you get to write what you want. You don’t need any experience to get started, and it won’t cost you a thing, except a few moments of your time.

"Stepping Out With My Baby"  ...  Doris Day

If you don’t think you’ll have time to keep up with a blog by yourself, you can blog as a group or team as we are doing here. We’d also be happy to have Information and Photo Contributors and which many will find easier to do.

With the increased interest in Latin music and dance, Dancer - West may be on the right track of concentrating on the Latin sound and help to develop a mature group into the dances we have been dancing. We can help straighten all the defects that have been installed by the teacher contingent for decades.  Samba with five different basics? Unbelievable, but it is there.

"El Reloj"  ...  Fernando De La Torre

Tango: Argentine is basic but which Argentine Tango? Nordic Tango is beautiful, but so is American Tango. In Hawaii, the Filipino Tango is emerging and it is more like the original Milonga than many of the others. Step, step, step!

Pub's Side Note: I have the predictions on my stats, sometimes six months in advance, Right now they are up to March 31, 2013. My prediction a month back was for Town Dancer to reach 100,000 total hits by October. From my stats of today, there seems to be no doubt the mark will be reached before the end of this month. Congrats in advance to Calvin and Rich.
