We are all aware of the saying, a picture is worth a thousand words. Well, yes, to a certain extent. Pictures are governed by the law of supply and demand. If the first pic is worth a thousand words, when you introduce the second picture, now each one is only worth 999 words. And the more pictures the lessor the value of each.

"We support those who wish to be people of value, integrity
and quality for their fellow dancers."

A new study from the U.K. confirms what we've long suspected: Oversharing of Facebook photos is more than just a nuisance, and uploading a hundred "selfies" per day could very well be damaging to your real-world relationships. Facebook reports that they are getting 4000 photos per second or 300 million per day.

The net result of so many photos is negative, not doing anyone any good and sometimes the Internet is right. The study found that both excessive photo sharing and sharing photos of a certain type makes almost everyone like you less.

From my viewpoint, I think the people on this Island are just beginning to use social network sites, and enjoy the benefits they bring. They are fun, or we wouldn't be using them. But just be careful about what how much you are sharing in places where they already have too much. "Think twice, post once."

This a Micro Blog. What's a Micro Blog?

In my blogging, I find the maximum efficiency with each photo containing 4 to 8 people. And about six to eight photos max in one blog. That is in my blogs - others may fly differently. So if you have any photos that fit in these categories, send them in. Guaranteed to post because we do not have many and will go over well with the readers. And I take the best ones and include them in the slide show.

Yes, I have been advised. There are no dancers in this territory.

Then anyone that sends a photo in has something to say about it. Guaranteed, it would be of interest to the readers. We are all interested in our fellow dancers. And from there we evolve some good information to share and in our blogs it is needed.
