Nice And Not So Nice.

So people are making plans for a place to dance the Universal style of dancing in the West and we should understand. The most acceptable style for a century is still based on the American Style of dance because it is so flexible. There are many simple variations, easily led and followed and our dance floors can be much smaller. The other fancier kine can dance where they have already set up their large dance floors. The Palladium is already theirs, so we should have the right to set up our own.

For the New Year
Hurt people, hurt people, that is how pain patterns get passed on.
Generation after generation, but we will break the chain today,
meet anger with sympathy, contempt with compassion.
cruelty with kindness, greet grimaces with smiles
forgive and forget about finding fault
Love may be the weapon of the future.
We can, of course also join the increasing group of "viewers" that are interested in entertainment but that is a different aspect altogether. That's "show business." And if we can help the entertainers and the viewers, we will too.

Much of the criticism of dance blogs is about their exclusiveness which is not true. In our dance blogs we have disparity of information available, issues with trustworthiness and reliability of information presented. We have concentration, ownership of media content, and the meaning of interactions created by social media. Most of this is still in front of us when we get more help.

Most Newsletters and Web sites do not lend themselves to the transfer of information from one to another. However, it is also argued that social media has positive effects such as allowing the democratization of the internet while also allowing individuals to advertise themselves and form friendships.

We certainly have diluted the readership and on purpose. Within a month, one of the blogs will be deleted. But it will be almost unanimous, which one it will be, and make it easier for the rest. Then there will come a time when the next one will be deleted. The net result will be more efficient and productive dance blogs.

With the addition of the proper Guest Authors, we can let the top blogs go independently for the good of the entire dance readership.
