HBDA Ewa Beach

By Willy Dionisio

The newly-formed HBDA Ewa Beach chapter started classes on July 9 at the Asing Community Park. With over 20 students signing up for the American style Intermediate (Bronze II/Silver) classes, it looks like the chapter is really off to a very good start.

The Ewa Beach chapter is unique in that we have two sets of instructors, one for each dance. Romy and Miriam Quemado teach the first class, Bolero. Esmenio and Roselily Andres follow with East Coast Swing.

Even though we are a very new chapter and are still feeling our way, we are trying to learn a short dance routine for the Masquerade Ball which will be held at the Palladium on October 4. It would be great, as it would be the first (of many) Ewa Beach chapter performances! Esmenio and Roselily are working with us on an East Coast Swing routine.

FYI, we will be moving from Asing Community Park to another location in October. More news to follow!
