Ka Makana Ali‘i

Breaking ground later this year, Ka Makana Ali‘i – The Center for West O‘ahu – will offer residents and visitors a family-friendly, mixed-use center in the heart of Hawaii’s fastest growing community.

"We can never influence the world by trying to be just like it."

The 1.4 million-square-foot regional mall. The only fault is that it will be single story and this is the 21st century. DeBartolo Development’s first such project in Hawaii and will feature more than 100 exciting shopping, dining and entertainment offerings, a department store, It may have two hotels and each with a 4000 square foot ballroom and LEED-certified office space.

Envisioned as the central gathering place for the community, Ka Makana Ali`i will complement notable area attractions and meet the shopping and dining demands of West Oahu, where more than 80,000 new homes are projected to be constructed by 2025. And those people will not be riding the Rail Catastrophe, that's for sure.

Its convenient location offers excellent highway access, ample parking and public transportation for shoppers. With hopeful addition of two Business Parks nearby where local people can find work, there is a distinct possibility of over 1000 less cars on the freeway to and from Honolulu and less traffic in downtown. The Waianae Coast is looking better all the time for Business Parks.

Pub's Side Note: Social media in dancing is not about technology, it is about psychology. The tools are always changing but the concepts -- the engagement, transparency, sharing and entertainment?? These don't change.
