Down But Not Out

Quite a difference from last month to this month. At the end of May, Platinum Horseshoe was Numbah one ahead of Town Dancer in hits. Easy to explain. Wahiawa Ballroom Dance Club and Kapolei Chapter, HBDA with interesting dance news and photos. This month, nothing and the hits show it. Platinum Horseshoe is now in third place behind Blogging Hawaii.

"There are two ways of spreading light - to be the candle or
the mirror that reflects it."

Not just dancers but most of the residents of the Moanalua Corridor have become aware that next to Waikiki, the densest populated area, on this island, is just where they live. But the Rail Catastrophe has devastated this entire section and some already suspect that it is going to get worse. Even the hostess bars are not doing so good and one in Pearl City, closed last week. The fat cats in Honolulu are raking the money in. We all should understand that "It has always been the bread, Fred."

Town Dancer, the Dance Blog still King of the Hill

We still get little news about dancing from that section. However, the Moanalua Corridor cannot do it, that is for sure now. The two studios (maybe three) think in terms of Web Sites so they don't know much about blogging. But there are others that have some knowledge of blogging and simply are not accustomed to doing it. It is a slow uphill climb. We have the North Shore, and the Waianae Coast in our sights and getting there is the big problem. Gotta keep on working at it.

“We all need something to help us unwind at the end of the day. We might have a glass of wine to silence our silly brains of its worries but there has to be some form of punctuation, or life just seems utterly relentless.”
