The View From The Top

Amazing the effect of Wahiawa Ballroom Dance Club and the sister club Aiea Ballroom Dance Association have done to bring Platinum Horseshoe blog up to the top of the pile. The blog has established itself with its own "raison d'etre" and will be unique, like no other dance blog. Just needs more commentary on each blog, and more information contributors with more information to share with our fellow dancers. Of course, the max would be a Guest Author from any dance club that has its own independent views and able to go in several directions.

"Social Dancers think that we are going to succeed,
just because we are crazy enough to think we can."

Keep in mind, this not web site, it is a blog site and is updated on a regular basis, containing content that is of primary interest to the dance audience on Oahu. Information from many and easy to update and change. The readers in West Oahu are gradually picking up on this action. Our intent is to help the dancers on this island and if in so doing we help the dance organizations, that is just fine with us. Unfortunately we cannot do everything, we can just try.

"I'll Be Seeing You" by Rosemary Clooney

We can usually get the first half which is "advertising," very easily. But this is a blog and the most important half of the equation is what happens at the "shindig." If we have no photos or descriptions to share with the same reader/dancers that read the "advertisement," then we are sadly lacking in the information department. This is blogging and it is not complete unless we have both halves of the information. So we apologize to the readers, when we have nothing to report of what happened.

We are restrained in this manner until the information contributors become aware of what the readers want to see. That is the idea of the counter on our blogs. We know how many people are reading this and when the hits go up, why. In these last few weeks, Platinum Horseshoe is clearly in front with over 100 average hits per day and I make my agonizing reappraisal of the situation every day when I work on the statistics. Comments, and information contributors will determine who stays in front.

"For the Social Dancer it is the music first.
Then we want to move to that music."
